The Sweet Smell of Dawn

I love the sweet smell of dawn

- our unique daily opportunity to smell time,

to smell opportunity

- each morning being a new beginning...:)

Redeem the Time...I'm still feeling blessed.

Let us detach ourselves from things trifling and insignificant, and give ourselves up to the study of things worthy our nature and capacity. We all value our possessions, and much more ought we to estimate our time.

How many words and actions are capable of being taken by two handles, are patient of two interpretations, a good interpretation and a bad one? We are unmerciful when without necessity we are judges of evil thoughts, when we suspect meanness, littleness, untruthfulness, not to speak of worse surmising, in others.

Make yourselves nests of pleasant thoughts, bright fancies, faithful sayings: treasure-houses of precious and restful thoughts, which care cannot disturb nor poverty take away from you-houses built without hands for your souls to live in.

Every noble act of devotion to truth, every pure life unstained with evil, every word of pity, every instance of forgiving, and goodness, helps us to a better faith in that divine and eternal goodness which has no variableness or shadow of turning.
Injustice to you is not an awful thing like injustice in you.
 Thank You Lord..:)

The values you've taught, the care you've given, and the wonderful love you've shown, have enriched my life in more ways than I can count...

 I owe you one, my life...

Mama's smiles can brighten any moment,
Mama's hugs put joy in all my days,
Mama's love will stay with us forever
and touch our lives in precious ways...

The values you've taught,
the care you've given,
and the wonderful love you've shown,
have enriched my life
in more ways than I can count.

I Love you Mama!

When everything is too late, I'm sorry...huhu

Plants grow best when we pay attention to them. That means watering, touching them, putting them in places where they will receive good light. They need people around them to notice if they are drooping at the edges or looking particularly happy in the sunlight. The more attention a plant receives, the better it will grow.
We need to be noticed in the same way. If we notice a family member or friend is drooping, perhaps we can pay some special attention to him or her. All of us need someone to care about how we are and to truly listen to us. We can share and double someone's happiness by noticing and talking about it also. We help the people around us to grow by listening to their droopy edges as well as their bright days. People need this as much as plants need light and water...
I'm not a plant but I long for the watering, the touching...grrrrrrrr..:'(

When I'm sad and lonely
Feeling my life is Oh so blue
I opened my eyes so early
And feel the morning dew
I see dawn so dull and thirsty
Twice I winked but true

Birds do fly so freely
All their whole life through
I counted them but Oh so many
A flight of one and all the crew
Wide sylvan land of many
Yellow flowers stand a few

I picked one so sweet and pretty
And gave her name short as Sue
A dear then came so slowly
Straight towards a sylph in blue
I brushed his head Oh so hairy
But all he does is chew

Swamp says nothing here is smelly
Though butterflies rest in two and two
I then whispered Oh really
But all's so shy to give one clue
Floating lilies with good so heavy
Sways so gently to and fro

I knelt to see Oh ants so busy
Some stood to guard for raging foe
Over the blue crystalline water spree
That bears an image of me and hue
I gaze upon a face of beauty
And smiled to see my yellow Sue

The world I live is quite so messy
The reason still is me Oh me
I wept and acted so silly
Then all they do is shout a boo
So I stared each blankly
To promise a life they view.

Amidst the Storms of Life, There Are Still Mothers...

 Mothers, wishing you a happy month...:)

The storms of life are not over;

It appears they will never be.

As the storms of life rage on

And never seem to end;

Neither do the seemingly senseless,

Relentless, tragedies of life;

Natural disasters ever waiting to occur;

Earthquakes and floods,

Hurricanes, tornadoes and forest fires,

Where agonizing terror reigns

And total devastation prevails;

Amidst the storms of life,

Yes, through it all,

There are still mothers,

Young and old, rich and poor;

Each one struggling to survive

The never-ending battle between life and death;

Endless days and nights,

Fraught with fear and frustration;

The prayers of mothers prevail;

Birth pangs;

A mother about to give birth,

In the midst of turmoil, havoc and total chaos;

Desolation, destruction and death, everywhere;

In the darkness of the blackest night,

The welcome cry of a newborn;

The child's cry soon placated;

The silence of an infant, at its mother's breast;

Each mother in turn,

Caring for, nurturing and loving her children

And others,

As best she can,

While fleeing the tragic aftermath of nature's fury;

Its wrath expressed without words;

Mothers of the past, present and future,

All weathering their own storms of life;

Incessant trials and tribulations,

But life goes on;

Motherhood continues;

Humankind lives on

Because mothers still give birth,

In spite of the storms of life;

Then there is war, relentless war.

The absence of a father figure;

A pregnant woman, left to fend for herself;

Countless children with no fathers,

Only mothers;

Sometimes not even mothers;

Daughters lost to time, forever;

Pain, sorrow and sadness;

The loneliness of mothers;

Motherhood and war,

An apparent contradiction;

One bringing life, the other bringing death;

Through the tragedy of war

And all of the other storms of life,

Mother's love lives on;

God's love still reigns supreme.

The forgiveness of mother's love prevails;

A divine mystery;

Mothers, their mothers as grandmothers,

Or great-grandmothers,

Each one, with her own daughters,

Many destined to struggle for survival;

New mothers, trying to protect their unborn babies;

Infants, clutched tightly in their arms;
